This may be unusual - not everyone's experience may be like this.
During general introductions, the recruiter criticized my former employers and used some adjectives to compare them with NVidia. In trying to establish that they don't negotiate salaries, commented on my past choices.
I gave factual, courteous answers and focused on actual interviews that were about to start.
Sometimes recruiters don't realize that polite candidates might let unwelcoming language pass without retort, but they are impacting the NVidia's brand as an employer.
The interviews were fine in general but we didn't seem to be a match. I don't get surprised by odd questions or behaviour, but interviewers tended to cut my answers off mid-sentence. They did not like me setting context for my answers to what seemed like theoretical situation MCQ list. The role requires soft skills and situations are not black or white.

I applied in Poland for a remote position- the managers actively write code which is exactly what I was hoping for. Great interviewers, very smart and extremely kind people. However the strangest recruiter experience in my life! I guess I didn’t pass the technical interview - when I asked about feedback whether that was the reason or something else I can improve first she said they didn’t give detailed feedback- something the first interviewer said they did. Then she replied sth like it was not my performance or personality. Which is peculiar because this means it is my gender or ethnicity or sth outside of me and I laughed a bit at the naive answer. It was followed by double the fact that the interview will not proceed which at this point I felt like “back off lady:D”. So I forgot about it. Just annoyed at the immaturity and went on with my life. Today I received an invite for interview from the same person. At this point I am no longer laughing. This is unprofessional and insensitive - turning you down twice was more than enough. I wrote her like - I am very surprised and guess it is a mistake. Please confirm and let’s not do it anymore- no answer. Never in my life have I met so inadequate recruiter! I consider her communication or lack of borderline rude and I realise how important these people are. They are usually very easy to talk to and friendly and somehow not appreciated enough, now I realise.

This was an initial HM screen. The guidance from recruiting was that we would discuss the role and some projects, and my background. The HM had a conflict and sent one of his direct report managers to the interview instead. The interviewer proceeded to ask a series of rapid fire technical questions. I felt I did reasonbly well but since I was not prepared for this type of interview, I did not do as well as I could have. I also felt that it would have been more appropriate for the HM to reschedule, rather than send a direct report.

5 interviews via Zoom. One with a marketing PM, one with another engineering manager, one with a director, and two technical interviews. Interviewers were professional and polite. No trick questions.
