First a short HR screening, then a couple of technical interviews, followed by an interview with a higher-up person. Everyone was super nice. Overall, a very positive experience – I received timely responses and the process was swift. They want you to feel like they care and that you are up-to-date with everything.

A recruiter approached me on LinkedIn and asked to conduct an interview. During the interview the recruiter was talking way too much about herself and although the call was initially scheduled for 15 minutes we took approximately 1 hour. When we started talking about the upcoming interviews the recruiter did not ask me about my availability but told me that I should finish the coding challenge on a given day (which was 2 days after our call) and I should do the next interview next week. All this without asking me when I would be available, and she even said "if you have any weekend plans, you can just cancel them". When it comes to salary, although they are really pushy and the coding challenges are really hard, the pay way less than other banks. After saying to the recruiter what my rate is she answered with "Is this how much you earn now?", which is illegal to ask in Germany. The coding challenge was really hard. You can find most solutions for it online, but still I think it does not correspond to the salaries they give. Overall I did not like their attitude, so I did not move forward with them.
