Filled out an application online. Received an email about three weeks later to do an Excel-based project over the weekend. After returning the 'Homework' I did not receive an email, so I followed up the following day and received an email that I would hear back by the end of the week. After not hearing from them, I followed up again the following Monday and was told a couple of days later that I would hear about next steps from them the by the end of the week. After again not hearing back I followed up on Monday and was given a time for a phone interview that week. The interview was with a Marketing Manager that had been there for less than a month and seemed extremely uncomfortable on the phone. Shortly after, I was emailed to have a call the next day with another Marketing Manager. He also was very new to the company. Both called me about 5 minutes late and asked a few basic online marketing and data questions.
After all this I was then given a quick "No" response- somewhat surprising considering the skills check was clearly done correctly to get to phone interviews with interviewers that seemed unprepared, reluctant, and distracted.
