Phone interview was definitely a weed-out interview. Lots of standard questions, including a problem-solving question. My interviewer was very nice and patient as I babbled my way through the problem-solving question.
They called me back for an interview at the Googleplex, and I sat with 4 different people. Each one asked somewhat similar questions, so I found myself repeating myself. All the interviewers were very professional, even if their attire wasn't. I really hit it off with one of them, the interview went really late but neither of us noticed. And one asked a really hard problem-solving question, which I spent a while at the whiteboard trying to solve. Loved it.
Overall, my impression of Google is reinforced by this interview: the people there are super-smart, and even though there was a casualness about the place, the people were serious -- in a good way.
I hope they call me back with an offer!!!
