Happy National Intern Day, especially to our very own GRF Interns! Today and every day, GRF is immensely thankful for the 21 incredibly talented interns from Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, USC, UCLA, CSUN, California Lutheran, CSUF, SDSU, Belmont, Vanderbilt, UGA, UDel and LeHigh who joined us this summer out of our NYC, Encino, White Plains, Wilmington, Nashville and Century City locations. Their genuine enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and boundless contributions to the Firm are endlessly appreciated by all of the team members who have been fortunate to be part of their professional development. Between sweet treat socials, sporting events, volunteering, luncheons, gourmet coffee breaks, speaker seminars and much more, it has been a true pleasure to witness our interns experience summertime at GRF. We still have several weeks left with this fantastic cohort, which means we still have many more fun activities in store to wrap the season up on a strong note! Meet Ben Pan, a GRF Summer Intern based in our White Plains, NY, office! Ben shares that GRF’s Business Management internship program afforded him a valuable opportunity to delve into the financial side of the entertainment industry, which will help him grow toward his long-term career aspirations in the world of finance. During his in-office days, Ben enjoys working alongside his team and manager – and snagging himself a delicious snack and cup of coffee from the lunchroom!
Today’s Workplace Wellness Wednesday feature is about our bi-annual Walk-A-Thon Challenge! GRF team members based in Boston, Encino, Century City, Nashville, New York City, White Plains and San Rafael participated in a week-long walking challenge for raffle prizes. Bonus raffles were awarded to those who also snapped a Healthy Selfie along the way. Though it’s been a warm summer season, the Walk-A-Thon event serves as a great reminder to keep getting your steps in!
Chris Fazzolari, GRF Managing Director and co-head of the Firm’s Royalty group, recently hosted a roundtable in our Century City office to educate Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, LLC, employees on Royalty Examination, IP Deal Advisory, and Royalty Administration functions. During the session, Chris dived into the concept of royalties in the entertainment business, offered valuable industry insight, and highlighted his own professional journey from Finance student at Towson University (Go, Tigers!) to partner of a leading Entertainment Business Management Firm. These roundtable sessions allow team members across various departments to explore different facets of the Firm and gain a more nuanced understanding of how our growing company services diverse clients across the licensing, music, and film/television sectors. Our LA and NY offices had a ball at the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets baseball games last week! Employees from our office locations in Century City, Encino, White Plains and New York City came together to cheer on our home teams and enjoy some fireworks fanfare. Way to go, GRF UK! Our stellar team won the Music Week Award for Accountancy Firm of the Year for the second consecutive year and the third year overall! A HUGE congratulations to our UK office. Cheers to many more years!
When we’re not working hard at GRF, we’re competing hard! Our UK Quiz Night was a battle of wits and teamwork. 50 challengers came, but only 5 prevailed.
