Applied online the last week in November, heard back about two days later from a recruiter in Phoenix asking about my availability for a phone screen. The initial phone screen lasted about 20 minutes, and consisted of some knowledge questions regarding the advertising products they sell, my past work experience, and some information from the recruiter regarding compensation, ramp up time, benefits, etc. I got a call the next day asking if I wished to come in for an on-site interview, which I initially declined because of other opportunities. I ended up calling Yelp back in late January asking for an on-site interview, which they gave me three days later.
On-site was a quick tour of a couple sales floors, then one-on-ones with three sales managers; Two mock sales calls with pizza shop owners (to set up an appointment, and to close a month of advertising), and a conclusion interview, where the interviewer asked which of the mock calls went worse, why, and to try the call again. I heard from the recruiter three business days later asking for permission to perform a background check (if you get this call, congrats, you got the job). I received an official offer two days later.
