I applied for a role and received an email from the recruiter (who even connected with me on LinkedIn) requesting a phone interview. However, I had just landed in the US for holiday and informed the recruiter as such and proposed an alternate time the following week. He indicated that he was unavailable and proposed a different time however I was not available at that time due to critical meetings so suggested alternate times. I never heard back from him after that communication.
After a few days when I came back from holiday, I followed up with the recruiter but again no response.
Months later (today), I received the standard auto-generated 'Thank you for your application but you were not selected to go to the next level....' email from Spotify.
Poor form, Spotify, poor form.
I disconnected with the recruiter on LinkedIn as I do not want to be associated with this lack of courtesy and professionalism. Sorry if I didn't jump and dropped everything to talk with you but I do have a life and a Director-level job with professional people.

I'm not sure if these guys hire from other tech companies but essentially the interview was a mess, no room booked, office was untidy and seemed cramped (not the usual standard of tech companies in the same bracket). Interviewers seem unprepared and even worse, tired during the interview. To be honest, it was quite unprofessional and it completely put me off working for the company - They also seemed to have a complete lack of strategy and being, hardly the behaviours you'd hope to see of a company wishing to IPO. May suit some people but I personally ran a mile
