They seemed really enthusiastic at the beginning of the interview process. I talked with someone over the phone and the person asked me some generic questions and my salary and working hour expectations. Then I had an in-person interview with two designers at their gallery several days later and felt really great about it at the end of the interview. It seemed like I connected with both of them really well. They asked me some good questions and were very attentive to my answers for the questions. I would say the interview had a very organic flow to it.
I was contacted shortly for the next interview. I arrived 10 mins early for my interview and waited for my interviewer for 25mins after the supposed start time. I thought maybe he was caught up in a meeting or something. They sat me down on one of their display sofas and told me that the interviewer would be with me shortly. I people-watched while I waited and noticed the few staffs that were standing around the store. Turns out, one of them was my interviewer and he had been there this whole time but he made me wait for 25mins and did not offer any kind of apology. Maybe there was some kind of misunderstanding on our start time but I was not impressed with the management. The other thing that really bothered me was the interviewer wasn't even looking at me during his first question for me; he was looking down at his phone while he asked me the question. Our interview overall was short and I felt that he wasn't as attentive, but he did ask me if I could start right away (and I said yes), which I thought was kind of a lead-on. The interview ended with him saying that I will have my results by the end of the week. I did not hear from them at the end of the week and it wasn't until I emailed them for a follow-up the next week that they emailed me back saying that they were moving forward with someone else. In the beginning they would reply to my email very promptly but towards the end they wouldn't even do the courtesy of letting me know that I wasn't moving forward. I think the way the management conducted things toward the end kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

Have you been to any of our stores before and why do you want to work here.
Me postulé a través de otra fuente. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en RH (Newport Beach, CA) en nov 2025

They were very welcoming and kind. I applied for Design Assistant, but she said I’d be a better fit for Consultant. After 2 interviews and declining, she mentioned the Design Assistant may be a better fit after all. I honestly think they just needed consultants.

How do the skills in my previous job develop into skills I have now.
Had about 4-5 interviews all of which was a really nice experience. Spoke with individuals from different locations and in different roles. Really enjoyed the process. Got a lot of insight into the culture and values of the company.

What are my values both personally and professionally and how do I feel those would integrate into their ecosystem.
I had a phone screen with the associate gallery leader. Overall experience was very informative and helpful since the job description is kind of general. She explained daily tasks of this role and the challenge of this role as well.
