HR says they’ll advance you or asks to schedule a call and then ghosts. A friend referred me. He followed up internally to make sure they saw the referral and after several weeks, HR emailed me asking for my availability the following Monday/Tuesday for an initial call. I sent my availability, and heard nothing back. Mon/Tues passed, and it took me several follow up emails over the next few weeks to get them to finally respond and actually schedule a call. At the end of the quick screening call where they simply read the job description and asked a few basic questions, they said they’d like to advance me and will send information for interviewing with the department by end of day. Once again, I hear nothing. It took me 3 follow up emails and one voicemail over the next week to get a response that they’ve moved forward with an internal candidate. Almost comical how bad this was and how many follow up emails were just completely ignored. It was unprofessional, rude, and lazy. Way to do the absolute bare minimum in your job and trash your company’s reputation for candidate experience while you’re at it.
