Very straight forward process. Highly analytical interviews whereby Managers go through a range of standardised behaviourial and hypothetical questions based around key competencies. So in a nutshell - whatever the key attributes or competencies they are looking for plan and present your interview around that cos it is competency based interview and you have to answer your questions around behaviourial and hypothetical situations.
It can be a little boring to prepare for this type of interview and it can feel like you are faking it during the interview but if you follow the example of giving behaviourial and hypothetical solutions around competencies you'll do very well!

Please describe a situation where/when you had to make a particularly difficult decision on a visible or controversial subject.
Interviewed at Microsoft but I did not get an offer. Team was nice and there were free drinks and some snacks on site which was a plus. I would love to apply and interview again!

Typical behavioral interview process. STAR format style interview questions. Why do you want to work at Microsoft, tell me about a time questions, greatest strengths, greatest weaknesses. Consisted of a recruiter screening, and three back to back interviews with senior and principal PMs.

It was a level II and it was a great chat with the interviewer. More questions about my past experience, how I handled new features, change of requirements and my thoughts about AI replacing or writing code.
