Applied on line after a couple of weeks I received invitation for online interview with HR representative and hiring manager.
1h interview planned. Questions only from hiring manager. She seemed busy doing other things. She did not seems very technical. She did a couple of quite generic questions about experience linked with the position. I believe I replied quite good. Then she asked very specific question about potential implementation of specific MDM tool in a specific scenario. I have the feeling she had not much idea about what she was asking and I could reply any answer with a minimum of sense being credible. But I replied the truth: in MDM area I have very less hands on experience and mainly overall knowledge of processes. Despite the same tool was implemented in my company, we did not have same scenario, so I could not reply about the specific question. I could also add that I would not go for that tool in such scenario, but I admit I missed it, during my reply. After my answer she totally loose the few interest she had in the interview. I have to admit that I am very disappointed and that it was a kind of rude behavior. I understand they are free to evaluate as they prefer , but for MDM in job description only generic knowledge was mentioned, with no reference for specific tool. And MDM was just one of the 30 points mentioned in the job post. So why something that seems so crucial is not mentioned explicitly? I could have saved time and they too...
