Survey / Initial Screening
This was the first stage of the process and mainly focused on collecting background information, interest in the role, and basic qualification checks. It was a lightweight screening step to understand my profile, academic background, prior experience, and general fit for the internship.
Technical Round – Robot Grid Question
This round focused on problem-solving and coding ability. I was asked a Robot Grid–style question that involved navigating a grid under certain constraints, which tested my understanding of recursion, dynamic programming, backtracking, and edge-case handling. The discussion was not just about arriving at a working solution, but also about explaining the approach clearly, reasoning about time and space complexity, and discussing optimizations.
Behavioral Round – Standard Behavioral Questions
This round was centered on communication, teamwork, and past experiences. The questions were typical behavioral prompts around collaboration, conflict resolution, ownership, challenges, and learning from failure. It was similar to the type of questions ChatGPT can help prepare for, where strong answers usually follow a structured format like STAR and focus on impact, reflection, and clarity.
