I had interviews with amazing people in Booking.com. The first round was HR, The next one was ian nterview with 2 managers, this part was one of the most difficult interviews that I have ever had. the third session was a case study review and 2 design managers with a designer who was observing. The last round was a competence and culture fit interview with a product manager and a design manager. I was offered on 6 July 2022 and signed the contract a day after. Since then, I quit my job, however, I had the opportunity to be promoted financially and in my position, my partner transferred his company shares to his business partner, I donated my assets and furniture and we vacated our apartment in Tehran, We did our bank financial settlement in Iran and said goodbye to our friends and families, I was waiting for the flight ticket to Amsterdam and my partner supposed to join me in few days to start a new chapter in our life. But guess what? Just 5 days before my start day I received an email from booking.com company stating my job offer is withdrawn and relocation is canceled! The reason is Booking's business requirements have changed! This is what a couple of my Iranian friends received as well. I emailed the mobility team, Booking’s HR, my manager, and my recruiter, but unfortunately, I haven't gotten any response, explanations or apologies. I assume the high and mighty booking.com understands that its actions and the promises given to me within the contract that they sent me (and I signed), have consequences. These days I am upset, disappointed, and sorrowful. If you are looking for respect, humanity, and transparency in a company as I expected, I strongly recommend remembering my experience.
