SCAM - It was not an interview at all. It turned out to be a room with 10-12 other people and we were given a presentation to become commissioned Insurance Sales Agensts. The jobs mentioned in the email were not mentioned at all. At first I thought they were telling us about the company and we would break up and go to our interviews. But the presenter moved to present the commission pkg and the great trips you can earn. He told us of all the places he has been and how much money he makes. I asked pointedly if this opportunity was for Insurance Sales agents and he said yes. I told him what I thought I was there for. One other person said she also thought she was there for an job interview, not a sales pitch. I asked if anyone else had been given the same info and the presenter asked me to address all questions to him and we should step outside and speak. I declined the offer and left the room. I drove three hours to get there as it was held at their district office in Los Alamitos. When I was contacted by Aflac and asked to apply for the District Coordinators role, I asked twice for a job description. The first request was not responded to. On the second request I was told that I would get all of they information during the interview. There was no interview as there appears there was no job. While some people may be interested in Sales positions, I am not one of them. Had they been transparent about this opportunity I would have thanked them and passed. I live in Calabasas and the entire city was evacuated due to the Woolsey Fire. As you can imagine this was a stressful time for my family. Driving all the way to Los Alamitos to find out I have been scammed was extremely disappointing. Seems like a good company. I don't understand why they aren't transparent about these sales roles and not trick people to get them there.

Bait and Switch. They recruited me (to drive 250 miles) for a District Coordinator position only to switch it to a sales position. If they lack integrity in interviewing people that they recruit, what will they do to staff and clients later.
