Product Manager

Job Summary:
The Product Manager in fintech company will play a critical role in defining and executing the product strategy. This position requires a deep understanding of financial technology, market trends, and user needs to drive the development of innovative and customer-centric fintech solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:

    • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and company goals.
  • Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research, including competitor analysis and industry trends, to identify opportunities for product differentiation and growth.
  • User Requirements and Feedback:
    • Gather and analyze user feedback, conduct user interviews, and collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure products meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Feature Definition and Prioritization:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, design, marketing) to define detailed product requirements and specifications.
    • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer value.
  • Product Development Oversight:
    • Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
    • Conduct sprint planning, review product demos, and provide feedback to development teams
  • Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Develop and execute go-to-market plans, including product positioning, messaging, pricing, and sales enablement materials
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor product performance against targets.
    • Identify areas for optimization and drive initiatives to improve user engagement, conversion rates, and overall product success.

Technical Requirements:

  • Fintech Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of fintech products, financial services, and the broader financial industry landscape.
    • Good understanding and expertise around fintech products included at least 3 from these lists: Digital wallets, digital/neo-banks, payment processors & gateways, regulatory & technology, remittances, and cross-border payments).
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to derive insights from user behavior and performance metrics.

General Requirements:

  • Academic & Professional Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field. Having an MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant field can be beneficial.
    • Additional Courses and Certifications (Optional): Product and/or project management certifications, financial courses or certifications, and other fintech-specific courses or certifications.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to drive product innovation and business growth.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate product vision, requirements, and value proposition to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, marketers, and sales teams.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset:
    • Empathy for user needs and a customer-centric approach to product development and improvement.
  • Adaptability:
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, technologies, and business priorities.
  • Time Management:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Industry Awareness:
    • Stay informed about fintech trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the industry.
