About DIGIC
DIGIC is an internationally recognized animation studio with more than 20 years of experience creating iconic high-end 3D cinematics and acclaimed streaming content. Having won numerous prestigious awards, we are the creative force behind short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots, and Amazon’s Secret Level series.
Building on this heritage, we are now expanding our feature animation division (Digic Animation), currently developing high-profile projects such as the animated film series based on
MAGIC: THE GATHERING for Netflix.
The Role
As a Junior Modelling Artist, you are at the beginning of an exciting professional journey. Under the mentorship of our Lead and Senior artists, you will contribute to the creation of 3D assets while learning the intricacies of a high-end feature animation pipeline. You are eager to learn, responsive to feedback, and dedicated to refining your craft in both organic and/or hard-surface modelling within a stylized aesthetic.
Responsibilities
- Asset Creation: Build 3D models for secondary characters, vehicles, props, and environment elements based on 2D concepts and established unit standards.

Pipeline Integration: Learn and apply the studio’s specific technical requirements for topology, UV mapping, and asset organization.

Iterative Growth: Proactively seek feedback from Lead and Senior artists, quickly applying revisions to ensure assets meet the project’s visual "Gold Standard."

Documentation & Standards: Maintain a clean and organized workflow, ensuring all files are correctly published and named according to studio protocols.

Technical Learning: Actively participate in coaching sessions to master stylized "painterly" modelling techniques and procedural workflows.
Essential skills
- Foundational Modelling Skills: A portfolio or demo reel showing a strong grasp of 3D fundamentals in Maya and ZBrush (both organic and hard-surface).

Anatomical Awareness: A basic but solid understanding of form, silhouette, and edge-flow for animation.

Stylistic Potential: An ability to interpret 2D designs and a keen interest in stylized, non-photorealistic aesthetics.

Collaborative Attitude: A high level of "coachability" and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
