Playing out of our home pitch at The MGroup Stadium, in Oxford, the team regularly hosts matches against our network of suppliers and business contacts. It’s always a competitive but friendly game, giving us a great opportunity to connect with our wider industry partners outside of the boardroom. The squad works just as hard on the pitch as they do in the office, always playing as a unit and representing OEV’s core values. We’ve got some exciting news to share: Octopus Electric Vehicles is expanding into Germany. 🇩🇪⚡ After helping 40,000+ UK drivers make the switch to electric, we’re now bringing our all-in-one EV experience to one of the world’s biggest automotive markets. From early 2026, German drivers will be able to get their electric car, home charger, and smart energy tariff sorted in one simple step, making the switch to electric easier than ever. But this isn’t just about leasing cars. We’re bringing the full Octopus ecosystem along for the ride; including Intelligent Octopus smart charging, access to the Electroverse charging network, and plans to introduce vehicle-to-grid technology that can turn EVs into mobile power stations. Germany already has 800,000+ Octopus Energy customers, so this feels like the natural next step as we continue to make electric driving simple, affordable and green.
