This is a rabbit hole of a career path — unclear direction, shifting priorities, and leadership that struggles to support or retain high performers. It’s a landmine environment where decisions often feel reactive and personal success is frequently undermined. Recognition is arbitrary, and long-term growth is more myth than reality. Sales plans shift often, and commissions are not always straightforward or secure.

Ventajas

Great atmosphere and collaborative environment. It is a family-owned company, but each member EARNED their place there. The owner's sons worked hard and even unclogged toilets if needed. Everyone is very welcoming.

Desventajas

It's not a con, just a difference of opinion. It seems like accounting holds itself a bit apart from the other departments. I preferred to think of everyone as more of a team, so I didn't mind helping other departments if a need should arise. Doing so often led to my being reprimanded for not letting the other departments "own their roles." But I still believe those reports and being helpful significantly impacted gross margin.
