Talented People, Unstable Leadership

Ventajas

Fully remote environment with flexible work-from-home structure. Most coworkers and teammates are genuinely kind, cooperative, and supportive with one another. There are many talented creatives inside the company, and despite the pressure, many people truly care about delivering quality work and helping each other succeed. The role can also help you gain experience handling high project volume, fast turnarounds, and international clients.

Desventajas

The biggest issue by far is instability. Although contractors are offered year-long agreements, in practice there seems to be very little real job security. Mass layoffs and sudden restructures became increasingly common during my time there, often happening overnight and drastically changing workflows, schedules, teams, and responsibilities without much time for adaptation or planning. Communication from leadership regarding major operational changes often felt abrupt, poorly managed, and lacking transparency. Entire workflows could shift from one day to another, creating a constant feeling of uncertainty across teams. In my personal experience, this was one of the least professionally stable leadership structures I have encountered in my years working professionally. The workload expectations can also become unrealistic at times. Designers are frequently expected to solve complex creative projects within extremely short timelines while still being held to high quality standards. As an independent contractor, there are no meaningful benefits, bonuses, or long-term support systems despite expectations sometimes resembling those of a full-time employee role. The company heavily relies on international talent from regions where lower wages are more economically viable for the business. While the compensation may appear competitive locally for some contractors, the gap compared to compensation standards in the company’s country of origin can feel discouraging considering the workload and expectations involved. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend working here long-term for anyone seeking professional stability, transparent leadership, or sustainable career growth. Overall, the coworkers and creatives inside the company were the best part of the experience — not the operational direction or leadership culture.
