Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en eBay (New York, NY) en feb 2017

The team I interviewed with was wonderful. They have smart and kind people and are working on interesting problems. I think I would enjoy working there.
The internal recruiter was a disaster. They didn't respond quickly and pulled a last minute interview request. Thankfully, I was able to get more time on my other offer. When I asked for time from them to finish the last steps with a 3rd company, they hypocritically said no and bullied me with an exploding offer. I rejected the offer almost because of the aggressive recruiting process alone. Thinking about the entire process, I get the feeling the delays in the first half were all games.
There were two coding interviews with specific problems. The data science interviews did not consist of specific questions, but just asked about experience. There was a 2 hour data science task and short presentation afterwards.

Expected number of people that can sit on a row with N seats, but noone will sit next to each other.
he eBay Machine Learning Engineer interview featured thoughtful, challenging questions across technical breadth and depth. The atmosphere was supportive and professional. A small improvement would be to shift evaluation metrics toward real-world model impact over theoretical performance

The interview lasted for an hour and involved implementing Python functions to preprocess data, train a basic machine learning model, and evaluate its accuracy. I was also asked several project-related questions covering my experience with AI/ML workflows. It was a smooth and engaging process—I learned a lot throughout and appreciated the practical, hands-on approach.
Two rounds with different persons in the team. Overall experience is kinda negative, the HR didn’t provide lots of details for the interview process and scheduling, and the interviewers were not acting very professional.
