      Entrevista para CRM Manager

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en cargo.one (Berlín) en jul 2021

      Entrevista

Approached by a recruiter on LinkedIn, then had a first good screening call then had a call with supposedly a hiring manager. The screening call was fast and the hiring process seems quite smooth. Unfortunately though this was the classic research/consultation fake interview. Very typical in Berlin from these young lost-in-a-bubble startups. During the call with the hiring manager I had 100% the feeling it was all about stealing as many information as possible from my company and working approach around CRM. These were the red flags: - A self defined "generalist" employee was the hiring manager for the role with expressed no understanding of CRM besides newsletter. - Clearly mentioned the need to build CRM from scratch but not building a team. - Absolute no interaction between interviewer and interviewee showing a lack of understanding on the topic. It wasn't a discussion, only questions. - Prepared list of questions, asked one by one with no feedback or answer in between but just an "hmm" to make sure I cut it short and "understood" preceding the next question. I felt like I was hosting a Q&A or AMA session rather than having a job interview. - No CRM team currently at the company and no plan to have one. - Exclusively situational questions to understand other businesses approach at CRM i.e. how do you build a campaign? What is important to consider when working in a campaign? Can you describe how you would do this and that? Step by step? The intro of the company didn't seem quite right either and rang another alarm bell for me in terms of understanding of what it's done internally at cargo.one. The video call was interrupted twice by food delivery for the interviewer. Other than that the interviewer seemed like a nice person but definitely bored about what she was talking about and keen to eat her lunch just delivered. I was obviously rejected because they got their free CRM consultation from me now and I was quite pissed during the interview by the typical fake interview approach. I was offered a feedback around from the recruiter which was really a joke as I wonder who would ever be interested in getting feedback after providing a free professional consultation in the form of a job interview. Overall classic Berlin startup waste of time interview and I think cargo.one is confusing job candidates recruited by the company with business consultants.
