After applying online I was contacted by HR for a phone screening. HR scheduled the phone screening and didn't call. So fifteen minutes or so after the scheduled time I sent an email asking what happened and 20 minutes or so later I got a call asking if I had time to speak. I took the call and then was told that my information would be passed to the hiring manager. I was then asked for my availability to speak to the hiring manager. i gave a time but never received a confirmation from HR. I then unexpectedly received a call from the hiring manager at the time I had given but was unavailable since I made other plans. Finally I speak to the hiring manager and we speak about everything but the job. We both had lived in the same city years prior, I was told about his wife, language abilities, prior roles everything that had nothing to do with Finance. A couple weeks later I received an email from HR stating that the job had been cancelled
