After I applied online for a Backend Developer I got an email back asking for a short HR meeting with one of the recruiters. The meeting went great over a Skype call and only consisted of general questions and some very broad easy technical questions.
After that, I got a technical interview with 2 of iZettle's engineers. This part was a bit weird. My resume did not mention Java as a skill at all, but at this stage, I was informed that the position was only for a Java developer and the coding test was actually in Java (which really slowed me down). After all, I was rejected because I didn't have an appropriate Java skill (which I did not claim I did!)
The whole process was pretty straight forward and everyone in the process was friendly and nice. I only wish it was apparent from the beginning that this was solely a Java position.
