      Entrevista

      Interview process is not ethical at all. As a first step you have to solve a coding assessment in Codility. After that HR arrange a technical interview. In that step Technical Manager sees your CV for the first time. If he doesn't like your CV, both of you waste 1 hour for nothing. My interview process: - First I passed the 2.5 hours coding assessment in Codility. - Interviewer believed that I'm not a good fit because recently I founded a startup and closed my company. I started with that question without any icebreakers. He asked irrelevant questions to make the interview harder for me. He even asked me a question about his academic paper which is totally unethical. It is obvious that interviewer already made his mind before interviewing me. Interview was a waste of time for me and for him. If he reviewed my CV as soon as I applied he would reject me. I solved the coding challenge in Codility for nothing.

      Q: What are microservices monitoring and microservices observability? A: We can use new relic, kibana. (He didn't like the answer) Q: How do you choose the technology for a project. A: We can read related blogs, we can read benchmarks, also we can make our own benchmarks. (He didn't like the answer. He said we should check Garthner reports.) Q: Which index types mongodb has? A: I don't know Q: Which changes happened in Spring Ecosystem recently? A: Spring moved on the direction of Ruby on Rail. Convention over Configuration becomes the way. (He didn't like the answer. He said Spring cloud) Q: What is rest service digital signature? A: I don't know in detail. (That was his academic paper) Q: What are functional / nonfunctional requirements? A: Functional requirements are business requirements. Non functional requirements are more related to speed, software modularity, software scalability. (He didn't like the answer) Q: What are software metrics and business metrics? A: Business metrics are business related statistics. For a ecommerce project orders, customers, products can be business metrics. We can show them using business intelligence tools or Tableau. Software metrics can be requests, page views, all the other nonbusiness metrics. We can use newrelic to see them or similar tools. (He didn't like the answer) He didn't ask any Java questions. He didn't ask any SQL db question. He didn't ask any coding related question.

      intial call with recruiter and then a coding assessment test. coding was leetcode medium level questions. after that was a live coding interview. for approx 1 hour and then a systems design interview for designing a payment system.

      Entrevista

      The interviewer was looking desperately tired and unfocused. Didn't join the interview on time. I had to find someone else to ping him to join. The questions were generic and related. However, it took 2 weeks for the interviewer to send the results of a basic questionnaire to move forward. I was overall hugely disappointed with that.
