After submitting my resume I received an email scheduling a phone interview and a couple of links to check out in order to better understand the position and the company culture. I really dove into it and learned about when and how Yelp! started, who were the founders, etc. I went over possible interview questions, etc. I put a lot of effort in to being prepared and hopes of knocking their socks off! Well the girl that interviewed me was a total buzz kill. First off, she was one of those people who, no matter what she said, always sounded like she was asking a question. I think she was expecting very narrow, very specific answers to her questions. For example, (keep in mind this is a call center job) she asked me what I would be doing or expect to be doing on a typical day. And I replied with something along the lines of "Work hard, keep a positive attitude," etc. To which she responded, "Well this is a call center job? You'll be expected to call prospective clients and try to sell them our service? (I put a question marks because as I said, she said every statement as if it was a question.) Did you not go over the links provided to you?" Which I did. I just didn't expect her to want me to just read it back to her. During a time that I was telling her about myself, I said something like, "...since I'm not currently living in Phoenix. I'm not sure if you already knew that." And she said, "Yes, I knew? I AM prepared?" Like saying that I wasn't prepared. Very condescending. When she asked, "Do you have any questions for me?" I asked her a variation of a question that is recommended on web sites with interview tips. I said something like: "What is currently missing or needed that I'll be able provide?" And she said, "Well didn't you read the job description?" Again very condescending. And I just kinda' gave up there and said something like, "Yes of course, I know what the job is. I mean - why is this position open? What holes will you need me to plug up?" Her answer: "Well MY team is doing good? I'm not sure who'd you be working with? So I don't know what they'd looking for?... So?" She closed by telling me I should've been better prepared. Condescending.

Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.
