I had a phone call with the company MD. He explained that he didn't think I was a good fit for the position (I agreed) but wanted to talk to me about my experience because he believed that I might have some skills that would be useful to the company as it grew. He seemed interested in the possibility of either consultancy or part-time working but nothing has developed from this discussion to date.
