Applied online, followed up with a visit to the store I was applying for. Spoke with the hiring manager left my resume. Got a call the next day to come in the following day for an interview. Interviewed with the hiring manager then the general manager directly after the first interview. Had a missed call and a voice mail before i even got home with an offer for the job.

I found the job listed on Craigslist and I called the store right away. I was urged to apply online and then show up at the store for a job fair style interview the following week. The day of my interview I walked around the store while two others sat through their interviews. I brought my resume and was interviewed by two individuals on the sales floor in a fairly quiet area of the store. I was asked about my prior experience, how I've handled a difficult customer and if I had ever had a dispute with a supervisor and how I handled that situation. They also asked how I would handle department specific duties and what I thought my references would say about me. We also talked about what hours I was available to work and how much pay I was looking for. My actual interview took about half an hour. I felt really good about how I answered and I tried to keep the atmosphere fun and upbeat even though I was super nervous.
