Entrevista
I had four phone interviews over a two-week process. The first interview was with the recruiter and most of it consisted of information about the position, salary, and benefits. The next two were 30 minutes each and ask questions related to more behavioral questions. The last interview was focused on more technical questions and lasted 45 minutes. I was shortly contacted to come for an in-person interview. They covered all expenses and it was a smooth process. The in-person interview consisted of three one-on-one interviews and a presentation. Two of the one-on-one interviews were more laid back and behavioral based. The third interview was more technical and reviewing your experience. The presentation is based on data they give you to analysis and present. The presentation is the most difficult part of the process.

Why do you want to work at Workday? And why specifically with Workday Student as a consultant?

Workday recruiter uses their “AI Agent” to schedule meetings and to answer queries with “GenAI”. I can imagine that because Workday (as a HCM) would make sense to use their own more forefront AI technology.
That is until the Talent Acquisition failed to turn up for the Zoom meeting. Since it’s all “AI”, there is no email address I could write to the recruiter. I went back to the AI Agent asking for help. Guest what? - “Feel free to visit workday.com and find out all you need to know about Workday as a company” and “Would recommend you reach out to your assigned recruiter for further information”.
Obviously I could not get help because there is noone I can reach out to understand if the recruiter is held up by the previous meeting.
This is no “AI”, this is chatbot masked as an “AI” service. Chatbot intelligence has been around for years. Masking it as an AI let you get away with a higher pricing charged to the customer. Let’s see if it sells.

The first round was a phone screen with the recruiter, and then I had a video call with the Hiring Manager. They reached out after I had submitted a direct application for one of their open roles.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our hiring process. At Workday, we believe we are unique in our transparency and genuine care for people. We're glad the experience was positive and you were able to meet some of our wonderful Workmates.
It was okay with some tricky questions, and would like to hear from them as if they have any openings for freshers along with the salary package that they provide.
