HR/Recruiter Screening (Phone/Virtual)
A recruiter contacts you to discuss:
Your background and experience
The role details and expectations
Salary expectations and notice period
Basic behavioral questions
Duration: ~20–30 minutes
Technical Interview Rounds
Conducted virtually or in person, often with team members or hiring managers.
Focus Areas (specific to your role):
Windows Server administration (Group Policy, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Networking basics (TCP/IP, routing, subnets, firewalls)
VMware and virtualization
Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure basics)
Incident handling and troubleshooting scenarios
May include:
Hands-on problem-solving
Scenario-based questions
Infrastructure diagram interpretation
Duration: Each round typically lasts 45–60 minutes
Managerial/Behavioral Round
Focuses on:
Situational judgment
Communication and collaboration
Ownership and decision-making
Examples using Amazon's Leadership Principles
May include STAR method questions (Situation, Task, Action, Result)
Final HR/Offer Discussion
