I interviewed for a Partnerships manager in London, in early 2023. Although the people I met were interesting and pleasant, I was very disappointed by their lack of consideration for my time. The process was the following: 1. Interview with an external recruiter 2. Interview with WhatNot's internal recruiter 3. Behavioural and motivational interview with WhatNot's heads of operations 4. Take-home case study - I was asked to prepare a slide deck documenting WhatNot's approach to enter the French Market. Relatively straightforward, but lengthy case study 5. Case study presentation to two GMs 6. Coffee chat with the UK GM and GTM manager 7. Behavioural and motivational interview with WhatNot's global head of expansion Two weeks later, I received a brief call explaining from the external recruiter explaining WhatNot would not be proceeding with my application, without giving any feedback. Given that I had put 20 hours of work into this interview process, I emailed individually the people that had interviewed, thanking for their time and asking for feedback. No one responded. I understand that building a fast-growing D2C marketplace is time-consuming, but basic consideration would not have hurt.

Chatted with hiring manager around the role and shared my background. Received a take-home case study to complete prior to next round. Returned case study, then had two more rounds of interviews.
