I went through multiple interview rounds and reached the case study phase. I invested an entire weekend into the case and submitted it on time. The case study itself was unusually difficult and extremely specific; it felt less like an evaluation and more like idea mining.
The day after I submitted it, I was told there had been internal changes and the role was cancelled. I was disappointed to have spent so much time on the assignment, but I understood that priorities can change. However, about a week later, the role was re-posted with the exact same title and description.
I reached out since they had previously said they liked me and wanted to keep in touch, but the recruiter never responded. Over the following months, I saw the same role (or slight variations of it, including under a different title) posted multiple times. This gave me the impression that the team is disorganized, unclear on what they want, or using the process to gather ideas rather than genuinely hire.
Overall, this was a very negative experience. I hope they improve their hiring process and are more considerate of candidates’ time in the future.
