The application process with Wander was baffling and downright frustrating. It included nearly 15 questions that were irrelevant, invasive, and added absolutely NOTHING to the interview process. Questions like, "What does a normal Saturday look like for you?" and "What are your thoughts on political discussions at work?" were bizarre and inappropriate. These questions are irrelevant to job performance, as my personal habits and political views have no bearing on my ability to succeed in the role. They invade my privacy by prying into aspects of my life that are none of their business—especially at the application stage. Worse, they open the door to potential bias or discrimination, which has no place in a professional hiring process. To top it off, they create unnecessary work for candidates by demanding thoughtful answers to questions that serve no apparent purpose, especially when they’re not even addressed later in the process. Why waste my time with this nonsense? The interview itself seemed promising. The manager appeared enthusiastic and assured me they’d proceed with my application. Yet, out of nowhere, I received an email on a Sunday informing me they weren’t moving forward. It wasn’t the rejection that irritated me, but the complete lack of clarity, consistency, or respect for my time. Honestly, I’m glad this went nowhere. The disorganized and tone-deaf process showed me all I needed to know. Good riddance.
