My resume was posted on Career Builder and a recruiter from Personified who has been hired by Wal-mart to host these hiring "events' that are taking place this year. The recruiter screened me for an hour with specific questions about my background, skill-set and availability to re-locate. This was absolutely not "behavioral". The phone screen was strictly done to evaluate whether or not to invite to hiring event. I was invited to Houston, TX to interview with Walmart executives and hiring managers. It was a 5-hour day which consisted of 2 1-on-1 interview with hiring managers (not HR) who both asked specific questions about project management methodology and skill-sets. The third inteview was with an SVP who mostly wanted to ensure I was a good fit for Wal-mart and Bentonville. We were fed lunch and by 2:30, I was presented with a very good offer and relocation package. They then immediately put me on a shuttle to take a drug test and I signed paperwork for a background check. It was a very positive experience and I wish all companies hired this way. It was quick and immediately satisfying. They are now flying my husband and myself to Bentonville for the weekend to meet the rest of the team and see the tow.

My resume was sent by a recruiter to Walmart eCommerce despite me specifically telling them "I have never worked on a Scrum project" which was one of Walmart's requirements. A week later I was contacted and told that Walmart was very interested in my experience (over 15 years of application development using a variety of methodologies including Agile) and wanted to talk about the PM position they had available.
The phone screen: After a few availability questions the interviewer asked me "When you've worked on projects as a Scrum Master ... ". I stopped her and said "I am not a Scrum Master nor is there any reference to me being a Scrum Master in my resume." I proceeded to give her a half dozen example projects where I had successfully used Agile both as the technical project manager and as the BPM with a technical lead. Her very next question (which she must have been reading from a list) was "As Scrum Master how do you organize a new project?"
After a long pause I stated very politely "I'm sorry but you seem to not be listening to me; I am not a Scrum Master. There is no need to waste your time continuing if hiring one is your goal."

Why are we having this interview? (OK, that was the one I asked and she seemed pretty uncertain about the answer,)

Seriously one of the most unorganized group I have ever been involved with. First interview was via telephone and lasted 12 minutes from start to finish - "describe the most difficult situation you have ever been in" - really?

Was flown to a different city from my own to interview. Flew in the night before the scheduled interview. The next morning, interviewed with two seperate current associates. Received an offer after two interviews. After being presented offer, which I had not accepted yet, I was driven to take drug test and then driven to airport to fly home. A few weeks later I was asked to come to Bentonville to visit city, work area, and housing. I also visited with hiring Manager and team. At the end of the visit I accepted my offer.

They asked me to expound on accomplishments I listed on my resume. They also asked how I would contribute to the company and my direct team and position.
