I applied for a Senior Solutions Engineer role for the EMEA region. Initially, the process was incredibly impressive and moved at lightning speed. Within a span of a few days, I was scheduled for three distinct rounds, moving from the initial recruiter screen directly to interviews with the Global Solutions Leader and the Director of GTM & Operations. It seemed like a fast-moving, scale-up environment.
However, the candidate experience broke down completely at the end. After investing significant time preparing for and completing three rounds with senior directors, I was rejected a few days after via an automated, generic 'no-reply' system email (after I followed up asking for an update the next week). There was no human follow-up from the recruiter, and no constructive feedback provided by the hiring managers despite the seniority of the role and the advanced stage of the pipeline. I emailed the recruiter asking for feedback, but I got no reply.
While Vertice has an interesting product and highly capable leadership, their operational maturity regarding recruitment needs work. Treating senior candidates as numbers with automated rejections after multiple leadership rounds is a poor reflection of their internal culture.
