I applied online and then received an invitation to have an interview with the recruiter. Towards the end of the call it was mentioned they would provide an update on next steps within a couple of days. Then it was mentioned "I will be out of town for a day or two so you will hear back early next week". After multiple emails asking about next steps, I've been ghosted by this organization. It's been close to 4 weeks.

Used a recruiter who wasn't very thorough or attentive to me but first interview with someone at the company went really well. However, the second interview was strange. There seemed to be a disconnect and I felt like I was being grilled but wasn't sure what he was looking for. I later found out from the recruiter that the interviewer didn't realize I had already left my previous job and thought I was being evasive about it. I had actually told both the recruiter and the first woman who interviewed me, in detail what led me to leave my prior position and assumed they had shared the info with him. Neither of the interviewers provided me any feedback or responded to my email thanking them for the interview. It was all very strange and baffling and I only got info from the recruiter when I reached out to him for feedback. Not sure why the guy didn't just come right out and ask me instead of being cagey and assuming the worst. It was very odd.
