The interview process was typical with multiple rounds of meeting key people in the business. Met with 4 different people and they were all polite and asked challenging questions. They also ask if you have any questions.

I interviewed for a project manager position at Vizio, with the entire process taking two weeks in June 2024 for the Dallas, Texas location. The first round was a quick phone call with the recruiter, who scheduled a 30-minute video call with the hiring manager. The hiring manager, their Delivery Manager, was very rude and harsh. I don't know how he was hired by the company. During the interview, he joined late, didn't look at me, was occupied with his work, and was smoking a vape. After that, the recruiter scheduled another 1-hour interview with the same hiring manager at his request. The hiring manager joined with the team lead about 15 minutes late, without apologizing, showing complete disregard. He didn't turn on his camera and acted very disrespectfully. He asked me every question unrelated to the project manager role—no behavioral, managerial, or leadership questions. He mocked my experiences and implied that I had not done good work in my field, constantly poking me with irrelevant questions. He didn't allow the team lead to ask any questions. For 45 minutes, he was so disrespectful that I felt neither valued nor appreciated as a candidate. The whole process was very painful for me. In today's 2024 job market, with constant layoffs and competition, such disregard and nuisance behavior from a senior employee is unacceptable. It seemed that he behaved this way because we belonged to different religions. Vizio, merging into Walmart, should consider its market position before harassing candidates. Such disrespectful behavior should not be tolerated, and employees like him should be removed instead of those who deserve to stay.
