I applied for a Junior Software Engineer role and had an informal call with a recruiter. The conversation was positive, and I was told the next stage would be with the tech lead. After the call, I followed up several times by email, text, and phone over the next couple of weeks but never received a response. What’s disappointing is that this experience doesn’t reflect what was written in the job description, which stated the recruitment team would ensure thorough follow-up and clear communication. That clearly didn’t happen. I understand if the process moved on, but a simple update would have made a big difference. Overall, it was very unprofessional and disappointing.

I had a recruiter reach out to me asking if I was interested in the role. They were keen to invite me to an interview. First interview involved a video call with the engineering manager, nothing difficult. I was told I’d receive feedback within a week and much like another person who’s left a review, I have been ignored with no updates and it’s been 3 weeks
