This is not a serious company. I dedicated several hours to studying their company, product, and market. Urban SDK hired an external staffing agency to supposedly fill a few roles as the company expands to a larger office and seeks to nearly double its client base. Throughout the interview process, UrbanSDK surprised me and the recruiting team that helped to prepare me for their interviews with their lack of professionalism. When you come to an interview prepared and knowledgeable about their product, and you are told to "tell a joke," it's not just an offensive song and dance game. You are leveraging your position of authority during a historically poor job market to ridicule the person who took time out of their week to prepare for a serious interview. I fumbled the joke, but I found the punchline- it's you, UrbanSDK, you are the joke. Made it past that preliminary interview despite my poor joke performance and met with their VP of Revenue. Initially, he did not show up to our scheduled interview, and we had to reschedule due to "technical difficulties." Once we finally had our interview, I thought it went great and he promised to provide me with a decision by the end of the next day (Friday). It took this "VP" 10 days to get back to me after he had also ghosted the recruiting company that his company spent resources to retain. The recruiters apologized to me for UrbanSDK's lack of professionalism and said they have never experienced anything like this with their other clients. So what was the verdict in the end? I got an excellent book recommendation from the VP, and was told that he and one of their account managers (I did not know that account managers make hiring decisions) have decided to pause on hiring until the end of Q3, but they think I will be a good fit down the line. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time with this company because they are absolutely willing to take as much of your time and waste as much of your time as you are willing to give them. They do not know what they want, do not have executive decision-making ability, and are willing to waste your time and their own time because they have the wrong the folks at the helm of the ship. I still think this is an interesting technology with a lot of growth potential. I certainly would be willing to give this another try if they hire someone to their leadership team who doesn't have their pants on backwards and knows how to make decisions. But first, tell me a joke.

Was contacted for a 30 minute interview. Interview was rushed and the interviewer was arrogant and would not answer a lot of questions about the company. Was rushed off the phone and never heard back again. Very unprofessional
