Interviewed with the VP i would be reporting to, then my potential co-workers--no HR previews. the hiring manager also looks at and sorts through the resume, HR merely controls the benefits and run pay checks

What did I know about the United Way and the work it does? So much has changed with this organization over the years--they do way more! I researched the company by searching through the archives of the local newspaper and checking their website.

Phone screening and then in person interview, in which they gave me the questions to be able to read and see during the interview and I could also take them home with me.

Tell us about your experience in tracking and managing grant funds once they are awarded, How do you ensure compliance with reporting requirements?
Initial interview with position supervisor followed by another interview with same supervisor plus two weeks others. Asked lots of behavioral questions. One of the interviewers seemed to have unreasonable expectations as she wanted to hire someone who would require “really no training at all” although the position only paid 55-65k.
