Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en USI Insurance Services (Houston, TX) en may 2017

It's overly complicated.
Something that jumps out immediately is that they will spend a lot of time explaining how their process is "Different and better."
And you will feel like, "Okay, great. Let's worry about that when I have the job."
This will continue to be a problem even after you get the job.
The management will force buyers to buy in to why the USI process is different and better.
Except, when you're a job applicant, you want the job, so you'll agree to jump through hoops.
When you're the buyer, you have countless other options, you're not going to stick around for "company training," you'll just go buy from someone else.
As you go through the multiple rounds of interviews, keep in the back of your mind, "If they treated buyers this way, will I be able to close business?"
It sounds ridiculous to say that such a large company doesn't realize that buyers shouldn't be treated the same as job applicants. But, that's honestly what happens here.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Your experience, how you would respond to different situations, etc.
The one odd thing is that they will ask you to do a presentation on The Process. It's like they want to make sure you will toe the company line when you come on board.
Contacted via LinkedIn on two separate occasions by two separate recruiters and get the same canned email:
“I came across your profile and was really impressed by your ability to build relationships and drive results in a complex, high-stakes environment.
At USI, we’re growing our team and offering producers real support, a competitive base salary, 40% NB commission, and first‑year equity ownership opportunities, all within a Top 10 national platform. If you’re open to it, I’d welcome the chance to connect.”
Let me know a few times you are available this week and I will make room on my calendar.”
I then tell them I am interested, we have a phone call that passes me on to a branch manager who then tells me I am wasting his time without having insurance experience.
This is a job I never applied for. They can’t seem to determine if they want people in or outside the insurance industry.

How do you build a pipeline and determine what is a good prospect?
Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en USI Insurance Services (Phoenix, AZ) en may 2025

Lengthy, at least 4 interviews, 3 of which are online or by phone. Personality test involved. Recruiter basically disappeared after I was notified I didn't get the role after my third interview, which was frustrating because I would have loved the feedback

Great and easy really good recruiting process. Allowed you to express your needs and told you everything she knew other knowledge. Understood demands in the market for sales producers. Culture seems to be thriving and growing organization.
