There is a record review, followed by an one on one interview with officer in charge and SGM. Staff will analyze your character and ask questions on leadership and how you handle different situations

Basic training and Advanced Individual Training. Once complete, you are transferred to a "real" Army unit. You can't be fired and there is no real interview process. If you don't know how to do the job, they will train you. Budget cuts are starting to kill lengthy TDYs and necessary training for all of the changes that the Army has had over the last few years. Defense budget cuts are killing the military.
