Interviewed with potential PI's throughout department. Each interview went for ~30 minutes and ran through resume - talked about previous research experience and why I was interested in their specific lab.
Also met with all the post-docs and graduate students currently in the lab. Talked with each one individually for ~5-10 minutes and they explained their project at a higher level.
There was no interview required or requested for the graduate school program at this school. An application was all that was required. The application consists of a personal statement, GRE (optional), transcripts, and a fee.
They asked about a variety of stuff. Like what’s you previous research experience and how would you tackle different problems. I really liked it as the interviewers are very friendly
Applied through their application. Got an interview about a month later. It was a zoom interview with the director of the department and an associate that I would be working under.
