Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Trinity Solar (Cheshire, CT) en oct 2016

      Entrevista

Two rounds: first with a sales rep with less than six months with the company (red flag), last with a regional manager. It was basically a cattle call (red flag). There was a giant stack of resumes on the desk when I walked in (red flag). The girl who interviewed before me looked like a total hood rat; really nice ghetto attire (red flag). The person who actually interviewed me was wearing yoga pants (red flag). I guess business casual is very open to interpretation. I passed the first interview and was told I would be called for a second. I will decline because this company sounds very sketchy. They state it is 100% commission making 100-200k+/yr doing door-to-door sales (red flag). No way, not possible. Furthermore, what legitimate company would still perform this sales tactic is beyond me. I would be really pissed if some random person came knocking on my door trying to hawk solar panels. I live in a fairly affluent area and have not had a single person try this in the 10yrs I've been here. Just the occasional Jehovahs Witness, but at least they are fun to screw with. It's one thing if you are trying to sell junk in a crummy neighborhood to stupid people; not a major home-improvement project to the educated, middle-to-upper middle class. I know that if a company tried this tactic with me I would immediately think their product and/or service was subpar. If a product or service is of good quality and value there is no need to resort to this. Someone inclined to have this sort of thing done to their home would do extensive research on the product and the companies installing and servicing it. They wouldn't just impulsively buy this because Willy Loman came knocking. In addition, the girl who interviewed me asked if I had a cell phone, internet access, driver's license and a car (red flag). If a company needs to ask these questions to prospective employees run! That is almost as bad as asking if I graduated High School or not. Just think what kind of co-workers you might have. How much of a loser or destitute must you be not to have those basic amenities. I would expect to answer that type of question interviewing at McDonalds. This company obviously did not bother to read my cover letter or resume. Maybe they did and are even stupider than I thought. What made them think that a college educated person with extensive high level work experience would ever entertain this type of position. I just hope that I do not end up in their database and get spammed with email, junk mail, calls and god help them a knock on my door.
