First of all the interview was through a alumini referral. The HR called me after a week and scheduled the round 1 interview with the team manager (that had a requirement). The interviewer introduced himself n about the company and what they are doing. Without any further delay, he started with c++ programming (gave few problem statements for me to solve), he also said that I can use pen n paper if needed n type the code on a complier or notepad. Since I had not prepared that well n was tensed (but he gave a lot of time fore to solve), couldn't solve the problems as per his expectations n the alloted time was over (1hr). By his instructions I can say that he was well experienced n knowledged person. Really had lost hope, but after 2 days got another call from HR to schedule round 2 interview. The interview started with my introduction n project details, skills etc. Then Linux command questions like what command to use when (he explained the scenario in detail). After answering n skipping a few, he moved to c++. Asked me to open notepad++ (as screen was shared n video call on teams), and few basic implementation questions like class, members, constructor etc... As I was a fresher, he focused on the syntax and theoretical knowledge on the concepts (I couldn't answer most of them n I said "not sure n IDK"). He asked to implement solution to some problems (basic ones). The overall experience was good and I understood my level (very poor).
