Me postulé en persona. El proceso tomó más de 3 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Trader Joe's (Sunnyvale, CA) en ago 2011
Entrevista
I have been interviewed at two different Trader Joe's. I got a call back with a job offer from the one nearest me but then my husband talked me out of it. Go figure! My strategy had been to shop there frequently, find out who the captain was and made sure I met him/her. I told them I really wanted to work there and after I turned in my App., I checked back in with them. They delegated the interview task to a vice admiral, or some such seafaring rank. One interview was conducted inside a poorly -lit office and the other was outside. I spoke enthusiastically about the store and made sure I covered the requirements for the job and why I thought I would be great at it. At the interview I was told starting pay was$10 an hour and I would definitely work weekends.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
Different questions than I have experienced in past job interviews, but seem to be their traditional hiring questions. They want to make sure they are hiring sociable people more so than just someone that can do the job.

Entrevista
Casual, took place outside of the store. First I had a phone call interview. Then another which was in-person with 2 of the mates in the store, and finally a third in-person with the captain of the store.
