Please read if you are interested with the company or currently interviewing. Step 1. Recruiter screening- easy just going over your background Step 2. Interview with A hiring manager. I say A because mine was with a manager who doesn’t even live in the state. Because the one for the role I was applying for was on vacation. All behavior style questions. Easy. Just brush up on “tell me about a time questions” the only comment I have about this is that it’s concerning I didn’t spend that time talking to the DM over the territory I was applying for. Step 3. Here’s where I have an issue. I was told to complete a PowerPoint style presentation. With zero info and clarity on what exactly they are looking for. I was sent info from a candidate specialist that my next interview would be on presenting 1. Perform a restaurant analysis 2. Why that restaurant should use Toast Go Had a 10 min convo with the recruiter he asked if I was told what to do. I said yes make a restaurant analysis and then reasons why that restaurant should use toast go. He said great that’s ALL I was given. I even sent my PowerPoint to the recruiter asking for feedback and got zero response. Well- This PowerPoint is apparently judged on a 1-5 point system…and they are actually looking for your 30-90 day plans, how you will network, how will you lead sourcing etc all in super depth. I repeat DEPTH. Was not offered the job but i requested a call phone with the recruiter to go over the district managers notes. Word for word all the recruiter said was I didn’t go into depth enough about lead sourcing and networking…..guess I didn’t spill enough secrets. Pretty much they want you to make this great PowerPoint (which WILL take way more than 2-3 hours) it will take the whole weekend. It’s kind of like doing your taxes. “What should I put ?” Toast- “I don’t know figure it out. “ Overall I’m sure it’s a great company outside of this- however I will not recommend to anyone or any accounts. It put a bad taste in my mouth because there was zero clear information. Which overall stinks for Toast, because I would have moved mountains for the company considering my background, contacts, experience and what I am capable of. Already had accounts ready to move to Toast. Toast you need to re do your hiring process or make sure you make it clear what you are looking for. A PowerPoint doesn’t define someone in sales. I would have loved to go to market and challenge the DM in person for a sale. I know fully I could out sale that DM. Toast is wild for having virtual interviews. You lose the whole personal connection of interviewing. Anywho just my feedback- Good luck out there

      Pregunta 1

“Tell me about a time you” 1. Made a mistake 2. Went above and beyond 3. Didn’t agree with a manager Etc etc Google every question for B&a for this because it’s just so dang repetitive and they are clearly reading a prompt.

The interview process consisted of four rounds: a recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, a mock sales exercise, and a final interview. Overall, the process was well organized and professional. I invested a significant amount of time preparing because this was a role I genuinely wanted. Unfortunately, I was not selected to move forward to the third round. Based on my experience, I believe my limited direct sales background was the primary factor, although the feedback process was respectful and transparent throughout.

I did an initial phone screen for an AE role. The recruiter showed up a few minutes late but I didn't think much of it. We had a nice conversation and they mentioned they'd like to move me forward. I didn't hear anything for a week or so when they reached out saying they had been swamped and would schedule me shortly. They reached out a 2nd time saying the internal schedule was busy but they'd get something on the calendar soon. Then I received an auto rejection. Not a great experience, it just made the company look extremely unorganized.

First I do appreciate the fact that they got back to me and gave me a “no” instead of ghosting, but the compliments will end there. The first round with the recruiter was fantastic. She said I sounded like a great fit and was excited to pass me to the next round. Fast forward to that next round and I could tell right away the sales manager had zero interest in talking to me. The most monotone voice, didn’t show interest in my prior experience, asked some questions that i didn’t think were relevant. She definitely was just there to check the box. Not long after I got the rejection email. understand it’s part of the game but i followed all the interview prep provided to me and it seemed like no matter what I wasn’t moving past that second round.
