      Entrevista

      Applied on Linkedin and heard back from the recruiter fairly quickly. Initial screening went well - recruiter gave background on Toast, the role, and comp & and I gave background on my experience. Initially they moved quickly in the interview process which I liked - I met with the Hiring Manager pretty soon after the initial screening which went well (all behavioral Qs) and the Hiring Manager told me she'd like to progress me to the Case Study. This is where the process started to become frustrating. They stated you should only spend a couple hours on the case study yet based on the nature of the questions there was no way it would take just a couple hours. I was happy to do the Case as I found the role and mission of the business interesting but it was a lot of work to ask of someone. After the case study they reached out to have me complete the Super Day which I was told would be 4 30 minute interviews equating to 3 hours total. When I got my schedule it was actually 7 interviews (granted 2 were with HR) throughout the day. I ended up having to take the whole day off work to be able to complete this. The interviews themselves weren't bad but having a full day virtually was extremely tiring. After the interviews I met with the Recruiter who gave me timing on when I'd hear back and stated they were evaluating one other candidate and potentially adding a 3rd to the process - the transparency I suppose was nice but didn't give a ton of clarity on where I sat. I heard back in about a week that they wanted to schedule me for the final interview with the VP. At the beginning of the process I was told if you made it to this stage it was really just to get their final blessing so I felt pretty good. It was great meet the VP and it felt like a good conversation. After that it took almost 3 weeks to hear back... final decision was that they wanted a candidate with more experience so they were continuing their interview process. In my opinion they should of been able to determine this much earlier on (I should not of needed to meet with 5+ people to make this determination). What was also frustrating is they continued to delay getting back to me as they stated they were finishing up other interview rounds so not only did they provide me that feedback but it appears they did the same to others. Lastly, the job application didn't even have a minimum years of experience on it...Overall I think they need to be better coordinated on what they are looking for up front so you don't have candidates complete a full interview process to then deny them on something that should of been screened out up front.

      There were many rounds of interviews but the panel was engaging and insightful. Most of the panel was friendly and had crisp questions. HR was constantly in touch throughout the process which we see very less in other organizations.

      The process is smooth, and people are friendly and helpful. It is a very thoughtful recruiting process and I like the culture there. There are many rounds of interview, so it's important to prepare in advance.

      The recruiter and hiring manager did not follow up after the interview. Though interview experience itself was positive, communication was poor and can be improved upon as a courtesy to applicants.
