Was contacted by email to setup a phone interview then had a 30 minute phone interview followed by an assignment. The phone interview was pretty standard, comprised of nothing out of the ordinary. What was disappointing was the assignment. They asked me to draft 2 email responses as well as a template for an interview confirmation. I spent hours on the assignment and received an automated response saying they decided to move forward with someone else. They did not provide any feedback and it seemed a little lazy and I considerate to have me complete such an intense assignment and not even provide feedback.

Phone call with the hiring manager > assignment > onsite Amazing communication and follow up from the hiring manager. My interviews were scheduled quickly. During the onsite I really felt welcomed and respected. All interviewers were super thoughtful, even when it came to the small things like asking me if I needed water or a bathroom break before we got started. Most importantly, I really got a sense of Thumbtack's wonderful culture throughout all my interviews. At the end of the onsite I received lovely gift. Upon receiving an offer and accepting, I additionally received a lovely gift box. Having worked in recruiting before and after interviewing at many other places this time around, I have to say that Thumbtack has the BEST candidate experience. The experience was so seamless and genuine. <3
