Had a first round interview online via a recruiter. Interview with team lead and went extremely well (their feedback) and I was a top candidate for the role. They mentioned they were looking to hire asap and I would be contacted within a week with details for on site second interview…company then completely ghosted myself and the recruiter. The recruiter advised me that they had another candidate for the same role and the same had happened. Things happen and companies have to halt interviews, however the complete lack of communication was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary
