I laugh at even trying to explain the process....what a joke! The whole process took almost 4 months to just get a pithy, impersonal email stating that they are looking at other candidates. I first spoke with a contracted recruiter on the phone. That went well and she inquired about my availability for the following week for an onsite interview with the hiring manager. Did not hear a word from them for about a month. Received an email approx a month later asking if I was still interested in the role and if I would like to go onsite for an interview. I agreed and an interview was scheduled. Interview went well, although it was not structured or organized at all. I was told that they were looking to make a decision within the next week and I would hear back from them. I even mentioned the lag between interviews and they tried give me many excuses as to why it took so long. I wasn't interested in the position and left the onsite interview laughing. Then two months later I get an email stating that they are searching for other candidates and will not be proceeding with me....uh yeah....got the hint....
